Suitable Fans For Any Season

It’s amazingly hot in the UK right now, so hot that at certain points we were warmer than the Caribbean and several other hot parts of the world. Everybody around the country is bringing up the electricity bill by running fans seven days a week and air purifiers, air conditioners and every size and make of fan imaginable is being used to try and cool us down (on that note, try the Hunter fan, they’re awesome).

Within a couple of months however, the sun will have gone and the temperatures will have dropped dramatically. Out come the heaters, oil filled radiators, extra clothes and umbrellas and we all have to spend a few hours packing the fans and portable air conditioners away for next summer.

Given the current ecological and financial climate, wouldn’t it make more sense for us to be using technology that we didn’t have to put away and get out again every season? Something we could leave out regardless of the time of year, that would help us cool down in the warm months and warm up in the cold ones..

Luckily, items like this are available, and by using them instead of buying an individual gadget for each season, you’ll be able to save some money.

You should try and invest in a fan heater, rather than buying a fan and heater seperately. Fan heaters allow you to switch between warm air and cool air with a simple button, meaning you’ll never have to move it, regardless of the weather. Weirdly, fan heaters can often be found quite cheaply too – go down to your local hardware store and you’ll probably find one cheaper than the equivalent high-quality desk fan, meaning you’ll not only save in the short term but won’t have to buy a heater when the winter comes round.

Air purifiers are another gadget that you can use during winter and summer, and although it doesn’t change the temperature of the air, it does change the quality of it. If you find yourself getting constantly ill during the winter and suffer from dry throats in the summer, an air purifier could make you feel better in both instances. A HEPA air purifier would be an excellent recommendation, as they have been market leaders in the field for the last few years.
